House Style Ideas: Masthead

1. I like the fact that they are all bold and large, which make them easy to see and read from a distance so the magazine can be found easier.
2. Fonts used are mostly sans serif, although some serif if used (Young Player of The Year?)
3. The clean, bold style connotes that the magazine is current and up to date with interesting, relevant news on sport, which is important to attract people to the magazine.
4. All mastheads use a big, bold font, most are white and use sans serif to make them easy to read, although colour is sometimes added to highlight part of the article, and serif fonts are used on some more stylised magazines. Most words used are short so they are easily to remember but often take up a large portion of the magazine.
5. From these magazines, I will use a large, white masthead, which will take up a large part of the page for ease of use (ie to read easier).
